Owners pay invoices and boarding deposits by card
Connect Stripe once. Portal checkout under your kennel brand-payouts go to your account.

Chasing card details by text is not a payments system. With Stripe Connect in DatCog, owners pay branded invoices and boarding deposits from the client portal. Payouts stay kennel-owned. Deposit rules and balances live on the booking-the same file your team uses for stays and care.
Pay online from the client portal
Owners open the invoice or deposit request and pay by card. Payment lands on the same booking-no retyping into a separate till app.
- Online payments on branded invoices
- Boarding deposits paid online
- Client portal checkout under your kennel brand
- Balances update on the booking and desk view
Stripe Connect for kennel-owned payouts
Connect Stripe once. Payouts go to your connected account. Use the same connection for DatCog subscription billing when you convert from trial.

- Invoices, deposits and DatCog billing on one connection
- No spreadsheet of stored card numbers
- Works wherever Stripe is available for your country
Bank transfers are a different path
Some owners still pay by bank transfer. That is not what Stripe solves. NZ kennels that reconcile transfers in Xero can use DatCog’s separate Xero bank match-optional, and not required to take cards.
Frequently asked questions
Do owners pay through our kennel brand?
Yes. Invoices and portal checkout stay under your kennel name. Stripe Connect handles the card payment and kennel-owned payouts.
Can Stripe take boarding deposits as well as invoice balances?
Yes. Owners can pay deposits and invoice balances online. Deposits stay linked to the booking.
Do we need Xero to use Stripe?
No. Stripe is for card payments. Xero bank sync is an optional NZ workflow for matching bank transfers-a different job.
